Wedding Giveaway 2005

In June of 2004, Julie Rivett Coordinator for the Carriage House gathered a team of wedding vendors in order to give the ultimate gift. A whole wedding to be given to one lucky couple, all they had to do was write an essay describing their love and special relationship. Many brides entered and several grooms also. In February 2005 the week of Valentine's day one unexpecting bride was presented a bouquet of flowers by her fiancee. Julie Rivett presented her with an envelope which held the words "You are one of two couples who has qualified for the Carriage House Wedding Give Away. The second couple who qualified the groom was given the secretive task of telling his fiancee that they had qualified also. On the day of the Carriage House Bridal Collection each essay was read to the crowd who attended, there was not a dry eye in the room as the winner was announced.
